Baocuan’s ceramic pie weights are made from natural ore burning in a kiln at 2200℉, does not encompass any harmful substance or odor, working temprature up to 600℉, possesses robust thermal stability, will not break easily under high temperature baking.
Feature:
Prevents pie crust or pastry from over expanding, shrinking, blistering or buckling.
Usage:
1. Wash with warm soapy water before first use.
2. Placing a parchment paper on pie crust or pastry, fill with enough pie weights evenly before baking.
3. After the edges of the pie crust are starting to brown in the oven, then remove the crust from the oven.
4. Remove the weights out of the pie, return the pie crust to the oven to let it crisp up and cook through.
5. Wash the pie weights by dishwasher or hand after cool down with clean water, clean it with detergent if the weights are sticked with oil.
6. Dry thoroughly before storing.

Warm tips:
1. It’s normal that trace of residue (pottery and quartz clay powder) is left on the surface of beads newly manufactured. Wash with warm soapy water before first use. Store in a cool dry place.
